So, Summer is over and Fall is making it's way across the cityscape, taking tree branches with it. I am back in school for my third year, and I had a slow start, but I am beginning to pick up the pace, one day at a time.
A few weeks back I quit my job at Chicago Chophouse because I feel like it is time for me to focus on my practice, immersing myself in the art culture, having a social life and also self-care. I loved my time at the restaurant and I enjoyed getting to know my coworkers, even if it was only for a few months. I have a LOT of goals for things to do/make this semester, so I have no excuses:

The plates I have been making for Muse are all done! there are being used for two dishes for the spring menu and All the chefs love them, which of course makes me a very happy artist. Here is a little recap from social media of their progress! Chef JP Pedhirney has asked for more plates this spring/summer, so in the four months I have off school I will be making a few styles of plates for Muse Restaurant and possibly Starbelly. To accomplish this huge task I will be renting my very first studio space!
Updates to follow, best wishes! My name is Jennifer Hartley and this is my new website. It is still under construction so please bare with me as I make it more sleek day by day.
March 1st I went to Muse Restaurant and Lounge for my second photo-shoot with them; It went well and I was very happy to help out our team. The photos are up in my photography portfolio. This Wednesday, JP and Heather from Muse are giving a speech at SAIT to the culinary arts students, and I am going to sit in on the talk, as they will have my photos in the slideshow. I am excited to hear the talk, as it will be wonderful I am sure! In addition, I will be making new plates for the kitchen to use for the upcoming tasting menu. |
